SUPPORT COMMITTEES

Staff Appreciation - Assist with showing staff appreciation throughout the school year by making requested treats or sending in requested donated food items for staff birthday treats. Or you can assist with making teacher appreciation week awesome. This is a great committee for parents who cannot physically be on campus.

Special Events - Provide support at our Special Events throughout the year including: Movie Night, Grandparents Days, 100th day Kindergarten Parade, Benjamin Franklin's Birthday, Monthly Park Days, 6th Grade Pool Party. See calendar for event dates.

Arts & Academics -  Assist with categorizing/labeling and setting up students' artwork and judging both the artwork and poetry recitation during school hours in January. Assist with setting up and taking down displays on Arts & Academics Night in February.

Book Fair -  Book Fairs are held before school, during Junior High lunch, after school during both of the parent-teacher conference weeks (September and February), during lunch on Grandparents Days and our end-of-the-year BOGO event after school in May. Assist in the set-up / clean-up of the fair or donate time working at the book fair.

Copy Committee/Literature Review – Review new books for our library (guidelines are given) and help shelve books when you are on campus from 9-12 daily. An orientation will be provided by the librarians. Copy materials for the teachers in the copy room. Copy times can depend on your availability during school hours and quiet, younger siblings may join you.

Art Masterpiece - Parents make a 15-minute art presentation to a specified grade level during class time on Fridays. Parents must be willing to attend an Art course through Mesa Public Schools (1.5 hour class offered once a week in the evening for 3 weeks). If you have already attended training, no class is required. The commitment is 8 Fridays, during the Spring semester. Materials and instruction are provided.

Music Masterpiece - Parents make a 15-minute music presentation to a specified grade level during class time on Fridays. The commitment is 6 Fridays, during the Fall semester.  Materials and instruction are provided.  No class required.

Art Masterpiece & Music Masterpiece (**counts as 2 committees, please choose the same option in Firebired Festival Committees) - Parents will present both Art Masterpiece in the spring and Music Masterpiece in the fall. This is an entire school year committment.

FIREBIRD FESTIVAL COMMITTEES

*SponsorshipNEW THIS YEAR! In place of your usual Festival Committee participation, sponsor an activity at the Firebird Festival and have your business advertised on a banner at the school ALL YEAR! Sponsorship value options are: $500-$1,500. You will be provided with a 501c3 donation tax document. You will be contacted for your contribution by an FPO member.

*Business Raffle Donations- NEW THIS YEAR! In place of your usual Festival Committee participation, donate a business raffle item valued at $100 or more. Your business will be advertised at the Firebird Festival raffle table. You will be provided with a 501c3 donation tax document. You will be contacted for your contribution by an FPO member.

Sweets & Treats - Donate a HOMEMADE baked good to be sold at the booth.

Donations - Donate $20 to purchase needed items for the Firebird Festival.

Volunteer - Donate 1 hour of time during the Firebird Festival on 4/13 from 5-8PM.  A Sign-Up Genius will be sent out prior to the event to choose your timeframe preference.  Stations to assist at include ticket sales, food sales, sweets and treats shop, bouncers and games or set-up/clean-up.
